Andrew Head, Chief Executive Officer

Andrew is accountable for the Executive Leadership of WestConnex, reporting directly to the WestConnex Board.  Andrew joined Transurban in 2003, and has been an Executive Committee member for the past ten years, including heading the NSW Business on the management and operations of six toll roads in Sydney.

In his role leading the NSW Business, Andrew also oversaw the development and construction delivery of M2 Upgrade, M5 Widening, Lane Cove East facing ramp and NorthConnex Procurement.

Andrew has also been responsible for Strategy, Development, Mergers and Acquisitions and Investor Relations at Transurban.

Before joining the company, Andrew worked in a variety of senior roles in both government and the private sector.

 

Terry Chapman, Director M4 and M4 Widening, M4-M5 Link

Terry has had more than 36 years’ experience in project and engineering management in the engineering construction sectors, including oil and gas, mining, water, power transmission, rail transport, road and rail tunnelling and communications. He has been involved in many of Australia’s road and rail tunnels regarding the electrical and mechanical design and supply, installation and commissioning, primarily with Alstom Australia and UGL limited. Projects include Sydney Harbour Tunnel, Eastern Distributor, Epping to Chatswood Rail Line, M5 Motorway, and Lane Cove Tunnel, as well as tunnels in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

Terry holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of NSW, is a member of the Institute of Engineers and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

 

Steve Doran, Director Human Resources & Services

Steve commenced with WestConnex in May 2014. Steve has over 18 years’ experience in Human Resources in civil construction and the public sector and has held senior management roles in Industrial Relations and HR. 

Steve has extensive experience in industrial and employee relations, workplace health and safety, policy, organisation design and change and employee engagement. He is an experienced industrial advocate in various courts and tribunals and has played key executive advisory roles in major organisational change and transformation.

 

Jackson Ross, General Manager, Integration & Commercial 

Jackson is accountable for leading the WestConnex transition program and supporting the management team to deliver excellence throughout the transition period. 

Jackson has been with Transurban for approximately ten years and led a substantial component of the Queensland Motorways acquisition and transition program.

Following the successful transition and establishment of Transurban Queensland, Jackson was appointed General Manager, Queensland where he led a number of development projects, including the Logan Enhancement Project and the Inner City Bypass Upgrade. Jackson recently relocated to Sydney as the General Manager, NSW Development, Partners and Integration to lead the operating model and integration planning work streams for the WestConnex transaction bid, as well as managing the co-investor relationships.

Ken Reynolds, Director New M5 and King Georges Road Interchange

Ken studied Civil Engineering at the University of Sydney. He has been involved with major projects and Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) for most of his career in design, construction, operations and ownership (including concession financing) both in Australia and overseas.

Examples of his prior experience include the Citylink in Melbourne, where Ken was responsible for managing the Transfield Obayashi Contract for the entire works, the Clem7 tunnels in Brisbane, the new Darwin prison, the new Port Botany container wharf in Sydney and a cable stayed bridge in Ho Chi Min City.

Ken has held directorships and senior executive roles in a number of organisations including Baulderstone, Lend Lease and Transurban leading the Transurban equity investment of the M7 Motorway and taking up the initial CEO role for the M7 Motorway.

 

John Morton, General Counsel, WCX

John has nearly 30 years legal experience and has held senior executive roles in large, international engineering, construction and contract mining companies.

Prior to joining WestConnex, John held senior legal positions at ABB Engineering Construction and ABB Australia, was General Counsel for nearly a decade at Leighton Contractors (now CPB Contractors) and Group General Counsel at Leighton Holdings Limited (now Cimic Group Limited) with responsibility for the group’s legal function which included Leighton Contractors, Thiess, John Holland Group and Leighton Asia.

John holds a Bachelor of Arts from UNSW, a Bachelor of Laws from Sydney University and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

 

Penny Roberts, Head of Public Affairs, NSW & WCX

Penny’s career in public affairs commenced in 1996 working as a media and policy advisor to the then NSW Leader of the Opposition (Liberal).

Penny has six years of international experience, working at the Greater London Authority, London Underground and Energy Saving Trust and London Communications Agency.

Penny’s previous experience also includes a senior role with Transport for NSW managing community engagement for Wynyard Walk and Sydney Light Rail projects.

 

Geoff Trumbull, General Manager Finance, NSW & WCX

Geoff is responsible for leading Transurban’s finance and commercial function within the NSW region. He has held roles as Head of Finance and Business Operations (Victoria) and Head of Corporate Finance.

Geoff played a key role within the West Gate Tunnel Project leading a number of finance and commercial streams. Geoff commenced his career within the Mergers and Acquisitions team at KPMG and has held senior commercial and finance roles at Melbourne Airport and BlueScope Steel.
